(Sturnus vulgaris)
Indiana, USA – November 2020
Originally native to Eurasia, starlings have been introduced to many other parts of the world and are considered one of the most common birds in the world.
Starlings are very gregarious and usually forage in troops. However, they also form huge flocks when they gather, for example, on the way to their roosts. In doing so, they often form large clouds and show fascinating movement patterns.
